he knows

he knows how much he hurt you

he knew when he was doing it, 

he knew after ....

he made the choice anyway.

I know that you cry yourself to sleep

and you listen to sad music

and you wish he could listen and hear you because it hurts and nowhere that hurt could go

but I'm telling you, he knows, believe me.

I think a lot of times, when we're hurting so badly, or just looking for the person who caused it to validate it as if it's gonna make it feel better, it's not.

even if he picked up the phone and called you right now, what would you say? 

"you hurt me!"

visualized how that conversation would go 

you would talk in circles, he would make excuses for why he did it.

and it wouldn't make you feel better because the damage is done.

you're sitting in your room every night thinking to yourself, I wish he knew how badly he hurt me

he does know

he knew when he did it

and he still knows now.
